Ceist:

23 Mr. Quinn asked the Minister for Education if he will outline the procedural and operational changes he proposes to introduce into the operation of his Department so as to give effect to the Taoiseach's statement of his commitment to open Government; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The issue of greater openness and transparency will be an important theme in the forthcoming Green Paper on Education.

Proposals will include making more detailed information available on the performance of the education sector in all its aspects, for the benefit of students, parents and the public at large.
