Ceist:61 Mr. Ryan asked the Minister for Education if he will outline the up-to-date position with regard to ongoing assessment of children with learning disabilities at primary school level; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
Written Answers. - Psychological Assessment.
Psychological assessment is provided by the health authorities for those children for whom it is indicated following referral.
Such assessments form the basis for consideration of appropriate educational placement by my Department in consultation with the school authorities concerned.
