Vol. 417 No. 9

Written Answers. - Dublin Derelict Building.

Tony Gregory

Ceist:

128 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Finance whether the derelict building known as Arbour House, Mount Temple Road, Dublin 7 and its boundary wall are the responsibility of the Office of Public Works; if the wall will be repaired; and whether security wire will be placed along the wall and the dead tree removed as both constitute a severe security problem for adjoining residents at No. 28 Ard-Rí Road, Dublin 7.

The property referred to in the question as Arbour House has been identified as the caretaker's lodge at Arbour Hill Cemetery. This building and the boundary wall facing onto the open area on Mount Temple Road, which I understand is owned by Dublin Corporation, are the property of the State. Repairs to this boundary wall are being arranged and arrangements will also be made to have the tree referred to removed. The question of erecting security wire along the wall is being examined.
