56 Mr. Carey asked the Minister for Education if he received an application from the board of management of a school (details supplied) in County Clare for assistance in improving conditions at the premises in each of the years 1987 to 1991; and if he will give details of the amount paid in each year.
The only application for grant received in the years 1987 to 1991 from the board of management of the school in County Clare referred to by the Deputy was in respect of the cost of providing additional play-space at the school. It was not possible to grant-aid this project as the school's existing play-space exceeded the maximum size normally allowed for the number of class units in the school.
