Ceist:111 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Education the reason his Department have refused to recognise the VTOS for the purpose of awarding an EPT contract; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I am having this matter reexamined in my Department with a view to deciding whether it is appropriate to extend the eligible part-time teacher arrangements for the vocational opportunity scheme.
I hope to be in a position to issue a decision on the matter shortly.
