Peadar Clohessy
Ceist:163 Mr. Clohessy asked the Minister for the Environment the total amount of money allocated to each local authority for road improvements both from central Exchequer and EC funds for each of the years 1989 to 1991.

All funding for EC assisted road projects is provided initially by road grants paid from the Exchequer. EC assistance is remitted to the Exchequer in partial recoupment of these grants. Total grants paid from the Exchequer to each local authority for road improvements for each of the years 1989 to 1991 are set out in the following table:
