174 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for the Environment if he will outline the rate support grant paid to Cork Corporation in each year from 1981 to 1992; and if he will give details of the overall value involved in the elimination of levies and statutory demands, the writing off of local loans from debt repayments and the introduction of direct rate payments by the ESB to Cork Corporation in those years.
I refer to the reply to Questions Nos. 6, 7, 19 etc. of 27 November 1991 in relation to the rate support grant allocations to Cork Corporation in 1992 and earlier years.
The following adjustments, with continuing effect, have been made to the rate support grant for Cork Corporation since 1986 to reflect adjustments in local financial arrangements generally:
