Written Answers. - Enniscorthy (Wexford) Swimming Pool Project.

Ceist:

105 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Education if he will confirm that the allocation of £300,000 made to a project (details supplied) last year in County Wexford still stands, even though they could not spend the money in 1991 due to problems relating to a site; and if he will outline whether further moneys will be allocated to the project in 1992.

The grant of £300,000 identified for a project in County Wexford is available under my Department's multi-annual sports capital programme for the provision of major sports facilities at regional and local level.

Formal confirmation of the grant offer can only be made when all the conditions of the scheme have been met. The question of payment of the grant, which is made as authorised construction work proceeds, does not arise at this stage.
