Ceist:

70 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Finance if he will now give the information sought in Parliamentary Question No. 112 on 24 March 1992 asking him to outline, (a) the amount of ground rents paid in 1988 to 1992, inclusive, (b) to whom these ground rents were paid and (c) the amount paid in each case, as he promised in the reply given on that day to publish the information shortly.

The information in relation to, (a) has already been supplied in reply to Parliamentary Question No. 112 on 24 March last. I attach a tabular statement showing the detailed information requested by the Deputy at (b) and (c) in relation to 1988. The particulars are the same for the other years in question, with the exception of the priorities detailed below. 1989 same details as for 1988 but with the following properties excluded: Watercourse Road G.S., Cork (ground rent purchased); Cobh Garda House (sold); Kinsale Old Head Coast Life Saving Station (surrendered); 73 Merrion Square, Dublin (ground rent purchased). 1990 same as for 1989. 1991 same as for 1990 but with the following further properties excluded: Killeshandra Garda House (part of Garda Station), County Cavan (sold); Griffith Barracks (1) and (2), Dublin (sold). 1992 a further number of ground rents are likely to be disposed of during 1992.
