Vol. 419 No. 5

Written Answers. - Tipperary Traffic Congestion.

Michael O'Kennedy

Ceist:

183 Mr. O'Kennedy asked the Minister for the Environment if, in view of the very severe traffic congestion in Nenagh, County Tipperary which is hindering business activity and causing inconvenience and delay to transit traffic at considerable extra cost, he will outline the proposals, if any, he has to expedite the construction of an urgently needed by-pass; and the timescale within which he proposes to undertake the necessary construction.

I refer to the reply to Question No. 98 of 18 December 1991. Discussions about the route of the proposed by-pass are ongoing with the local authority.
