Ceist:

203 Mr. Collins asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when payment will be made of headage grants, which have been approved in respect of a person (details supplied) in County Limerick.

This person applied for grants under the 1991 special beef premium scheme in the December application period rather than the normal application period of May/June 1991. Payments in respect of applications lodged last December will commence shortly. If the application of the person named is found to be in order payment will be made as soon as possible.

Ceist:

204 Mr. Collins asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a beef subsidy due to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick will be paid.

This applicant has been paid his 1991 special beef premium scheme grant already.

His 1991 suckler cow premium scheme grant is being processed at present and payment will issue shortly.

Gerard Collins

Ceist:

205 Mr. Collins asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will outline the present position with regard to payment of moneys due under the ewe premium scheme to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick.

My Department is not satisfied that the person named held the number of ewes applied for under the 1989 and 1990 ewe premium schemes for the required 100 day retention period as only 140 ewes out of the 2,146 applied on under both those schemes in 1990 were found at a retention check on 8 June 1990. Payment of premium cannot be made in this case, therefore.

Gerard Collins

Ceist:

206 Mr. Collins asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when moneys due under the beef subsidy scheme will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick.

The person named did not apply for grants under the 1991 special beef premium scheme or the EC suckler cow premium scheme for small scale milk producers.

He has however been paid his 1990 EC suckler cow premium scheme grant for small scale milk producers and his 1991 cattle and equines headage schemes grants already.
