Vol. 419 No. 5

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

John Ellis

Ceist:

208 Mr. Ellis asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if his Department will now pay suckler grants due to a person (details supplied) in County Leitrim which has been cleared by the local office of his Department.

The person named has been paid her 1991 EC suckler cow premium and cattle headage schemes grants already.

Michael Noonan

Ceist:

209 Mr. Noonan (Limerick East) asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if a beef premium will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick who has been disqualified due to a simple accidental error in completing the application form; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

This person has been deemed ineligible for payment of grants under the 1991 special beef premium scheme because he listed four animals on his application on which premium had been paid already. The earlier payments were clearly marked on the B.T.E. cards of the animals concerned. Furthermore the person is ineligible to participate in the scheme for twelve months from 22 October 1991.

P. J. Sheehan

Ceist:

210 Mr. Sheehan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Cork will receive payment of his sheep headage grant for 1991.

The sheep headage grant in this case was paid on 22 April 1992.

Frank Crowley

Ceist:

211 Mr. Crowley asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason for the delay in issuing a special beef premium grant to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

In the reply to a previous question it was indicated that payment in this case would be made shortly if the application was found in order at a computer validation check. The application was rejected at the computer validation check because the person named had entered one tag number twice in his application. This matter has now been rectified and payment will issue shortly.

John V. Farrelly

Ceist:

212 Mr. Farrelly asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason a person (details supplied) in County Meath has not received payment of a sheep subsidy; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The final instalment of the 1991 ewe premium in this case was paid on 5 May 1992.

Paul Bradford

Ceist:

213 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Cork will receive payment of the 1991 special beef premium grant; and if he will outline the amount due to him.

This applicant has been paid his 1991 special beef premium scheme grant already. The amount due to him under that Scheme was £738.15.
