Ceist:131 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education the proposals, if any, he has for the provision of extra facilities at a school (details supplied) in County Kildare; if his attention has been drawn to the urgent requirements of the school; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
I propose to take Questions Nos. 130 and 131 together.
My Department recently had a meeting with the school's principal and their architect to discuss the plans for an extension to the school. It was agreed that the architect would reconsider the plans for the proposed extension, particularly with a view to reducing costs, and re-submit the scheme for further consideration. The question of advancing the project will be discussed further with the school authorities when their proposals are available.
