87 Mr. J. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Finance the reason there is an increase of 166 per cent from £341,000 to £906,000 for consultancy services for his Department in the Revised Estimates; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
The increase arises mainly because costs associated with the formation and operation of the Sub-Regional Review Committees (set up to monitor the Structural Funds) did not fall due for payment in 1991 as expected. They are now falling due in 1992.
Provision has also been made under this subhead to cover consultancy on a number of different projects, relating to efficiency of operation and administration in the public service.
