The number of Parliamentary Questions tabled to the Minister for Justice in 1991 was 1,060. It is not possible to give the total cost involved in answering the questions without carrying out detailed and costly research into the work that was involved in the preparation of the answer to each and every question. It is the practice, when the information sought in a question is not readily available from records and would have to be specially compiled at inordinate cost, to answer the question to that effect.
