Vol. 421 No. 6
91 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Education if any schools in County Meath benefited from the £1.75 million fund for disadvantaged areas, and if not the reason therefor.
The special allocation in 1992 to assist in various areas of disadvantage is £1.25 million and is being provided in respect of free school books, adult literacy and the alleviation of disadvantage in mainly urban primary and post-primary schools.
Schools in County Meath would have benefited through the expenditure on school books schemes out of the disadvantaged fund.
