124 Mr. Cotter asked the Minister for Health if he will review the method used for making allocations to the health boards under the adult dental scheme with a view to giving maximum resources to areas with the longest waiting list; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
The provision of dental services by health boards to eligible adults is kept under regular review by my Department.
Allocations to health boards for the adult dental services are made having regard to the service requirements of individual health boards taking account of all relevant factors including the waiting lists maintained by the boards.
