Vol. 422 No. 6

Order of Business (Resumed).

I wish to ask the Tánaiste a question concerning the promised Foreign Affairs Committee. When replying to questions on the issue just about a week ago, the Taoiseach indicated that he expected that it would be brought before the House before the Dáil went into recess. There is no reference to the committee on today's Order Paper. I ask the Tánaiste at what stage a Foreign Affairs Committee will be established, or could he indicate what stage the discussions in relation to the terms of reference of that committee have reached?

I understand that this matter has been the subject of considerable discussion among the Whips. The Whips have not yet reached agreement and discussions will continue.

Will the Tánaiste make representations to the Minister for Energy, who I note is not here——

I beg your pardon, Deputy, I am here.

I am sorry, the Minister is here. Will the Tánaiste ask the Minister whether he will appeal to Coillte Teoranta to put a stop on the sale of Kilmacurragh House——

(Interruptions.)

Please, Deputy.

I should like to ask the Tánaiste a question concerning the distribution of the Green Paper on Education. Would the Government consider attaching to that document a copy of the transcript of the evidence of the Minister for Education at the Beef Tribunal?

Please, Deputy Rabbitte.
