Ceist:260 Dr. Fitzpatrick asked the Minister for Health if he will outline the plans, if any, he has for the land in his Department's possession on the Navan Road; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Negotiations have progressed to the stage where a contract for sale can be prepared in respect of a portion of the site. This will, inter alia, enable the proposed residential development at the back of Skreen Road to proceed. It is intended to dispose of surplus lands on the open market, but it will not be possible to do this until a permanent employment exchange has been erected on a portion of the site which is being transferred to the Office of Public Works. It is unlikely that this can be done earlier than 1994.
