The Midland Health Board has submitted to my Department a report on the tenders for the next phrase of the development of Mullingar General
Hospital and this report is currently being considered. The timing of the acceptance of tenders and commencement of construction cannot be finalised until the health capital allocation for 1993 has been decided by the Government. Pending the determination of this allocation and the formulation of the 1993 capital programme which will be based on it, I am not in a position to give a precise timetable for the Mullingar development.
