194 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for the Environment if he has received a request for funding for a small group sewerage scheme to enable householders at Marino Avenue West, Killiney, County Dublin to connect to the public sewer; the consideration, if any, he has given to this submission; and if he will fund the proposed scheme.

The design of group sewerage schemes must be approved by the local authority concerned. In this case Dún Laoghaire Corporation did not approve of the group's proposed design but suggested a considerably more costly alternative which, I understand, the group are not pursuing.
