Vol. 424 No. 8

Written Answers. - Taxi Roadworthiness Test Charges.

Richard Bruton

Ceist:

201 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for the Environment the charges which are made to taxi owners for roadworthiness tests and other such services; whether the same charges are made to the operators of hackney cars; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

A separate fee is not paid for roadworthiness tests carried out by the Garda Síochána in respect of taxis or hackneys. The charge for such tests is included in the fee paid on grant or renewal of a licence. The fees which currently apply are:

Taxis.

(2) Grant of a new wheelchair accessible taxi licence
