Ceist:216 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs the number of staff employed in his constituency office; the salary scales of those staff; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
Written Answers. - Constituency Office Staff.
There are three full-time staff employed under contract in my constituency office. Their salaries which are based on Civil Service payscales for the grades of higher executive officer and clerical assistants are as follows: £17,644.00 per annum; £172.86 per week plus a weekly allowance of £14.93; £178.44 per week.
In addition, a special adviser is employed in my private office on a part-time, consultancy basis at a fee of £15 per hour, plus VAT, subject to a maximum of 30 hours per week.
