Ceist:222 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he is administering an early retirement scheme for farmers, funded partially by the EC; and, if so, if he will give details of the scheme.

Proposals for the implementation here of Council Regulation (EEC) No. 2079/92 which provides for an early retirement scheme for farmers, are at present under consideration.
Details will be announced as soon as the proposals have been finalised.
