Ceist:

118 Miss Quill asked the Minister for Defence if, in view of the distinguished service rendered to this country by members of the Organisation of National Ex-Servicemen and Women, he will make a contribution towards the provision of sheltered accommodation for the disadvantaged and elderly and disabled National Ex-Servicemen and Women; his views on whether this is a cause worthy of financial support; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I recently had a meeting with representatives of the Organisation of National Ex-Servicemen and Women at which one of the matters raised was the question of a financial contribution from the Department of Defence towards the building of a hostel for homeless ex-service personnel.

I am having the request examined.
