124 Ms F. Fitzgerald asked the Minister for Health if he will review the present health services and their delivery with a view to examining how they can best meet the needs of women; if so, when such a review will be carried out; and the way in which he intends to proceed.
I welcome the publication of the report of the Second Commission on the Status of Women. The Commission's recommendations on health, to which I attach a high priority, provide a framework for the development of policy in relation to women's health.
The committee on women's health in my Department is currently reviewing women's health issues and is preparing a plan as recommended in the Commission's report.
