Vol. 427 No. 7

Written Answers. - Companies Registration Office.

Alan M. Dukes

Ceist:

84 Mr. Dukes asked the Minister for Enterprise and Employment if the Companies Registration Office is currently preparing to remove from the register a number of companies which have failed, over a period of years, to submit returns; and if a company (details supplied) in County Monaghan is included in that list.

I understand that the Registrar of Companies is indeed in the process of notifying certain companies of the possibility of being struck off the Register of Companies. I further understand that the company to which the Deputy refers has recently complied with the statutory obligation to file annual returns with the Companies Registration Office and, accordingly, is no longer subject to notice of strike-off.
