Vol. 428 No. 6

Written Answers. - Tax Refund.

Jimmy Deenihan

Ceist:

91 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Finance when a tax refund will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry.

I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that the taxpayer's employer has been instructed by the inspector of taxes to operate a tax-free allowance of £101.65 per week at table R on a cumulative basis. A refund of £87.96 will be made by the employer on 1 April, 1993.

Phil Hogan

Ceist:

92 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Finance if he will investigate the payment of a tax rebate in respect of a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny.

I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that an amended notice of assessment will issue to the taxpayer within the next few days. A refund of tax paid amounting to £1,500.08 will be processed as soon as possible after that date. A repayment cheque for £21.58 due to the taxpayer's wife is also expected to issue shortly.
