Ceist:

141 Mr. Byrne asked the Minister for Enterprise and Employment the dates of commission and report of the Culliton Committee; the dates of commission and report of the Moriarty Committee on the report of the Culliton Committee; and the cost to the Exchequer of each of these committees.

The Culliton Committee was established on 27 June 1991 and its report was published on 10 January 1992.

The Moriarty Task Force on the implementation of "Culliton" was established on 21 January 1992 and made three reports. The first was presented on 1 May 1992, the second on 31 July 1992, and the final report on 13 January 1993.

The total cost of commissioning and publishing the Culliton report was £351,434. Full details of the breakdown of the expenditure on consultancy are available in the Dáil Reports, Volume 417, No. 1, Column 108.
The cost of producing, printing and publishing the report of the Moriarty Committee together with the Government's decisions thereon as set out in "Employment through Enterprise" came to £41,282.29. There were no consultancy expenses in connection with that report.
