Vol. 430 No. 5

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Jimmy Deenihan

Ceist:

167 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when payments under the cattle headage, beef premium and suckler cow schemes will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry.

The person named has been paid his 1992 cattle and equines headage and suckler cow premium schemes grants already. His application for grants under the June 1992 special beef premium scheme was rejected when subjected to a computer validation check because some tag numbers appeared to be invalid. The problem with the application is being dealt with at present and when it is resolved the application will be processed further and if found in order payment will be made as soon as possible. The application of the person named under the December 1992 special beef premium scheme will be processed as soon as possible.

Ivan Yates

Ceist:

168 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the position of the beef premium application of a person (details supplied) in County Wexford; and when payment will be issued.

The person named has already been paid his June 1992 special beef premium scheme grant. His December 1992 special beef premium scheme application will be processed as soon as possible.

Enda Kenny

Ceist:

169 Mr. E. Kenny asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a cattle headage payment will be issued to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo, the application for which has been submitted for a considerable time; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The applications of the person named for grants under the 1992 cattle and equines headage and suckler cow premiums schemes are being processed at present and if found in order payments will issue as soon as possible. The delay in issuing these payments was due to a change of ownership of herd number. The person named did not apply for grants under the 1992 special beef premium scheme.

Michael Finucane

Ceist:

170 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the reason for the delay in processing a beef premium grant for a person (details supplied) in County Limerick; and if he will expedite the payment.

The person named is not the registered owner of the herd number quoted. The application of the registered herdowner for grants under the June 1992 special beef premium scheme was rejected when subjected to a validation check by computer as some tag numbers appeared to be invalid. The problem with the application is being dealt with and when it is resolved the application will be processed further and if found in order payment will be made as soon as possible. His December 1992 application for grants under the special beef premium scheme is being processed at present and payment will issue as soon as possible.

Paul Bradford

Ceist:

171 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry if he will give details of the beef premium grants which are due to a person (details supplied) in County Cork; the amount due; and when payment will be issued.

The application of the person named for grants under the June 1992 special beef premium scheme was rejected when subjected to a validation check by computer. The problem with the application is being dealt with at present and when it is resolved the application will be processed further and if found in order payment will be made as soon as possible. Until that problem is resolved, it is not possible to state the amount due.

His application for grants under the December 1992 special beef premium scheme will be processed in due course.

James Leonard

Ceist:

172 Mr. Leonard asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a cattle headage and beef premium grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Monaghan.

The applications of the person named for grants under the 1992 cattle headage and special beef premium schemes were rejected when subjected to a validation check by computer because some tag numbers appeared to be invalid. The problems with the applications are being dealt with at present and if found in order payments will be made as soon as possible.

James Leonard

Ceist:

173 Mr. Leonard asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a cattle headage and beef premium grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cavan.

The person named is not the registered owner of the herd number quoted. The lands of the registered herd owner are in the less severely handicapped area so he does not qualify for the cattle headage scheme which applies to the more severely handicapped area. He did however apply for grants under the 1992 beef cow scheme in the less severely handicapped area and was paid an advance of same at the end of November 1992 and the balance at the end of December 1992.

His application for grants under the 1992 special beef premium scheme was rejected when subjected to a validation check by computer as some tag numbers appeared to be invalid. The problem is being dealt with at present and when it is resolved the application will be processed further and if found in order payment will be made.
