Ceist:

101 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Finance the cost of the tax incentives for all urban renewal programmes currently undertaken in 1993; the cost of these in each of the years 1991 and 1992; and the projected cost in 1994 in terms of foregone revenue.

¹Based on information supplied by the Department of the Environment in respect of projects completed at end-December 1992, in the designated areas in general and in Temple Bar.

Assuming the enactment of this year's Finance Bill and using information supplied by the Department of the Environment (on a basis similar to (1) the Revenue Commissioners tentatively estimate that the cost to the Exchequer of the reliefs in 1994 will be of the order of £25 million.
