Vol. 430 No. 8

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Michael Creed

Ceist:

199 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when the balance of the 1992 ewe premium will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork; and when the 1993 ewe premium will be paid to that person.

Payment of the 1992 ewe premium will be made to the person named shortly.

Payment of the first instalment of the 1993 ewe premium is not scheduled to commence until July and if the claim of the person named is in order he should receive payment around that time.

Colm M. Hilliard

Ceist:

200 Mr. Hilliard asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when payments under the special beef premium scheme of 1992 will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Meath.

The application of the person named for grants under the June 1992 special beef premium scheme was rejected when subjected to a validation check by computer. The problem is being dealt with at present and when it is resolved the application will be processed further and if found in order payment will then be made.

Andrew Boylan

Ceist:

201 Mr. Boylan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the reason for the delay in payment of an EC premium grant to a person (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The application of the person named for grants under the 1992 suckler cow premium scheme is being processed at present and payment will be made as soon as possible. The reason for the delay in making this payment has arisen because the person named failed to complete his application form properly.
