All legal fees are paid on presentation of claims which have been certified by the Chairman of the tribunal in respect of Counsel for the Tribunal and by the Attorney General's Office in respect of Counsel for State. The daily rates are fixed by the Office of the Attorney General.

To date the total legal fees paid are £3.7 million as follows: Counsel for State, £1.9 million; Counsel for Tribunal, £1.8 million.

No advance payments are made.
