Ceist:

114 Mr. R. Burke asked the Minister for Education the up to date position in relation to the request for the appointment of a remedial teacher for September 1993 between the Garristown, Naul and Ballyboughal national schools, County Dublin; in view of the immediate need in the area.

I am pleased to inform the Deputy that the schools in questions have been selected for receipt of one of the 80 additional remedial posts which are being allocated with effect from September 1993.

My Department will be in contact with the schools shortly to make the necessary arrangements.
