36 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Justice the reason for the delay in processing the application by a person (details supplied) in County Cork for registration with the Land Registry Office; and when the registration will be completed.
I am informed by the Registrar of Deeds and Titles that the dealing in question is for a Transfer of Part and was lodged in the Land Registry on 25 February 1993.
I am also informed that due to pressure of work generally, there is at present a delay in dealing with applications of the type in question. However, it is the policy of the Land Registry to try, in so far as possible, to expedite cases in which it can be established that special circumstances of urgency exists. Any such cases will be specially considered if details of the reasons for urgency are submitted to the Registrar of Titles.
