206 Mr. Broughan asked the Minister for the Environment when the refurbishment programme at Swansnest Court, Kilbarrack, Dublin 13, will be carried out in view of the fact that this complex is now top of the priority list in Dublin Corporation's Housing Department.
Dublin Corporation have sought funding under the remedial works scheme for 16 of their estates, including Swansnest Court. The ten estates to which the local authority have given their highest priority have been designated for funding under the scheme, the latest two on the basis of the priority given to them by the Corporation last April. Due to the financial commitments outstanding on approved projects and the high level of demand for assistance under the scheme from local authorities, it is not possible, at this stage, to designate further Corporation estates for funding under the remedial works scheme.
