318 Mr. Nealon asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the reason a farm installation grant has not been paid to a person (details supplied) in County Sligo in view of the fact that the application was made in March 1992 and that officials at all levels agree that everything is in order.
The application in question is in the local Teagasc Office. I have asked Teagasc to expedite consideration of the case and to pass the file to the Department which I expect will be done by the end of October.
Provided all conditions for payment are met, payments are normally made within six to eight weeks of receipt in the Department.
