364 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Health when he will authorise the implementation of the remaining phases of the development plan for Naas Hospital, County Kildare; the timescale and the extent of the proposals; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
As the Deputy is aware, the first phase of the development for Naas Hospital has been completed and commissioned. The remaining stages of the development plan for the hospital are being examined by the Naas Hospital Review Group, which is comprised of officials of the Eastern Health Board and officials of my Department. The review group has just recently commenced its work and I understand that it will be some months before it is likely to report.
