Written Answers. - Dunleer (Louth) Vocational School.

Brendan McGahon

Ceist:

51 Mr. McGahon asked the Minister for Education if, in view of the urgent need for a replacement vocational school for Dunleer, County Louth, and the superb work being done by the staff of post-primary education in the large catchment area, it is proposed to include the necessary finance for this in the 1994 Estimates for her Department; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

Ceist:

59 Mr. McGahon asked the Minister for Education if, in view of the urgent need for a replacement vocational school for Dunleer, County Louth and the superb work being done by the staff for post-primary education in the large catchment area, it is proposed to include the necessary finance for this in the 1994 Estimates for her Department; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

Dermot Ahern

Ceist:

404 Mr. D. Ahern asked the Minister for Education if her attention has been drawn to the need for a permanent extension to Scoil Uí Mhuirí, Dunleer, County Louth; if she will include this school in the forthcoming education estimates for capital buildings; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 51, 59 and 404 together.

I am aware of the situation regarding accommodation at Dunleer vocational school. Architectural planning of an extension to the school is now complete. The question as to when this project may proceed to the next stage, invitation of tenders, will be addressed when the 1994 capital allocation for my Department is to hand.
