Ceist:74 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when payment will be made of the second part of the sheep headage grant to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo.
Written Answers. - Grant Payments.
Payment of the advance under the first and second instalments, totalling £165.79, of the 1993 ewe premium was made to the person named on 25 July 1993. The third instalment does not fall due until next spring and if the person named forwards to his local headage office the documentation required under the scheme, then his third instalment can be processed for payment. Otherwise he may have to refund the amount already paid.
The person named was not applicant under the sheep headage scheme.
John Ellis
Ceist:75 Mr. Ellis asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry if he will now pay a farm building grant to a person (details supplied) in County Sligo.
A grant in respect of a haybarn and a lean-to was paid on 4 November last.
Payment of a grant in respect of further works cannot be considered until the local office of the Farm Development Service has been notified that the works in question have been completed to specification.
Robert Molloy
Ceist:76 Mr. Molloy asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the reason for the delay in payment of headage grants to a person (details supplied) in County Galway.
The person named has already been paid her grants under the 1992 cattle and equines headage and suckler cow premium schemes. Her application for grants under the December 1992 special beef premium scheme was rejected at a computer validation check because of invalid tags. The problem has now been resolved and payment will be made shortly.
Her application for grants under the 1993 cattle and equines headage scheme and the January-February 1993 and June 1993 special beef premium schemes are being processed at present and if found in oder 60 per cent advances will be paid shortly. She did not apply for grants under the suckler cow premium scheme in the June 1993 application period nor under the 1993 sheep headage scheme.
