Vol. 436 No. 4
13 Mr. Barry asked the Minister for the Environment the amount of work being carried out in Cork city under the urban renewal scheme.
The latest information supplied to me by Cork Corporation shows that, in Cork city, a total of 86 projects with an estimated value of £32 million have been completed or are in progress in areas designated for urban renewal, with 46 further projects valued at £31 million in planning.
Has the Minister of State or his senior colleague any plans to extend the urban renewal scheme to other major urban centres, or perhaps to smaller towns nationwide?
There are further questions on that subject later.
