Written Answers. - Arigna (Roscommon) Water Scheme.

57 Mr. Connor asked the Minister for the Environment if his attention has been drawn to the long-standing application lodged in his Department for funding to commence work on the Arigna regional water scheme, County Roscommon; and if the necessary funding will be provided to Roscommon County Council to commence the project in 1994.

Roscommon County Council submitted a revised preliminary report for this scheme in 1992. Additional information requested by my Department has recently been received and is under examination. Having regard to the existing level of commitments under the water and sanitary services programme, I am not in a position to indicate when a decision may be made.
