78 Mr. McGrath asked the Minister for the Environment the population in each of the urban councils in this country; the number of staff employed by each urban authority; and the annual budget for each for the most recent accounts available.
Based on returns submitted to my Department, the numbers of staff serving in each of the County Borough Corporations, Borough Corporations and Urban District Councils, as at 31 December, 1992, is set out in the following tabular statement.
The most recent information in regard to the annual budgets of these authorities is contained in Local Authority Estimates, 1993 which has been published by my Department and a copy of which is available in the Oireachtas Library.
The population data requested are contained in Table 12 of Census 91 (Volume 1) published by the Central statistics Office.
