Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 20 and the name of the Member in each case: Deputy Durkan — when unemployment benefit or assistance will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kildare who has not received any payment since early autumn; Deputy Dukes — the need for positive action to assist potato, vegetable, horticultural and cereal producers in certain areas of the eastern part of the country to recover from the devastating effects of the heavy rain in the summer of last year and the need for the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry to meet with representatives of these producers; Deputy Broughan — the severe water supply problems on the northside of Dublin City and in Fingal County; Deputy Noel Ahern — the water shortage in parts of Dublin and the plans to solve this problem; Deputy Doyle — the need for an immediate inquiry into the failure by staff at Beaumont Hospital, Dublin, to operate standard international neurological management practices in the case of a child (details supplied) who was referred to Beaumont Hospital by Wexford General Hospital following a serious head injury which resulted in his death. The matters raised by Deputies Durkan, Broughan, Dukes and Doyle have been selected for discussion.
