Ceist:277 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Health if there is an appropriate place available for a person (details supplied) who is currently in temporary foster care and is urgently in need of a place in a residential centre.

The decision as to the most appropriate placement for a child requiring care is a matter for the relevant health board based on the professional advice available to it. Accordingly, the Deputy's question has been referred to the Chief Executive Officer, Eastern Health Board with a request that he examine the matter and reply direct to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
