64 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Education if she intends to appoint a home/school liaison teacher to Scoil Mhuire Gan Smál, Inse Chaoir, Dublin 8 in view of the special circumstances of the school; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
As stated in my recent announcement on the 1994 education budget, I propose to allocate additional posts to the home school community liaison scheme with effect from September next. The posts in question will be targeted on schools which have been designated as disadvantaged.
The school mentioned by the Deputy already has disadvantaged area status and its application for inclusion in the home school community liaison scheme will be considered in the context of the above allocation of posts.
