Ceist:64 Mr. O'Leary asked the Minister for Justice when a dealing (details supplied) will be completed in the Land Registry, in view of the fact that an application for registration is under consideration in this case since 1989.

I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that the dealing lodged in 1989 is for first registration based on adverse possession and that the relevant notices have issued and searches have been initiated. On 3 November 1993, the applicant's solicitors were informed by the Land Registry that a separate application for registration was necessary in respect of property, referred to in the original application, but in respect of which no formal application had been lodged. Such application was lodged on 26 January 1994 and preliminary title queries issued on 4 March 1994. Progress in relation to both of the registrations is dependent on the outcome of the queries.
