Ceist:82 Mr. Leonard asked the Minister for the Environment when funding will be made available for trial boring for water at Knockatallon, County Monaghan, for Monaghan Urban Council who are in urgent need of additional water supply.

Tenders for the development of production bores, which form part of the overall Monaghan town water supply scheme, have been received in my Department.
The question of funding for this work and the overall scheme is being considered in the context of the 1994-1999 operational programme for environmental services.
