84 Mr. Boylan asked the Minister for the Environment if he has received an application from Cavan Urban Council for grant-aid to up-date the itinerant halt in Cavan town; if so, the date the application was received; when he intends to respond to the application; the amount of grant-aid he expects to pay to Cavan Urban Council for this necessary project; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Cavan Urban District Council's proposals to upgrade the travellers' halting site at Townspark, Cavan were received in my Department on 14 October 1993. I have informed the council that they can seek tenders for the work in question. The approved costs will qualify for 100 per cent funding from my Department.
