Vol. 440 No. 1

Written Answers. - DART Line Accidents.

Seán Kenny

Ceist:

145 Mr. S. Kenny asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications the number of accidents involving members of the public which have occurred on the railway between Howth, County Dublin and Bray, County Wicklow, since the introduction of the DART service; in the case of accidents which resulted in fatalities, the result of a coroner's inquest where one was held.

The information requested by the Deputy is set out in the following tabular form. The table excludes accidents boarding or leaving trains and those involving barriers at level crossings being struck by road vehicles. I have no statutory function in relation to coroners' inquests.
